I am delighted to have one of my photos of the aurora borealis (a.k.a. Northern Lights) featured on July’s cover of the Astronomy Ireland magazine! No matter how my photographs are used, I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve, but there is something rather special about a magazine cover.
The photograph was taken in a small village called Ersfjordbotn, located just few kilometres away from the centre of Tromsø, Norway, where I spent few days earlier in February chasing the Northern Lights and shooting my first time lapse video. The whole trip experience and more of my photographs of this splendid phenomenon are featured inside the magazine.
AWESOME!
If you are reading this after July/2014 don’t worry, every issue is kept for posterity in the library at Trinity College Dublin so you still have a chance to read it :-)

Hi Felipe. I had the magazine with me a week ago. Nice experience in Norway you had. Cheers.
Thanks Peter! I’m looking forward to visit Norway again.
